The Audit and Non Formal Education association in Ethiopia (ANFEAE) is a non for profit organization i.e. Ethiopian Residents charity working on providing basic and quality education for children, youth and adults targeting underserved communities. ANFEAE is implementing reading for Ethiopia’s Achievement Developed Community Outreach Porject (READ CO) in 26 Woredas 840 Primary schools four Zones namely North Shoa, West Wollega, llu Ababora and Bale Zones of Oromia regional state.

The project intends to create an enabling environment and opportunities for children to practice reading and writing by availing quality supplementary reading materials and ensuring parental and community engagement to support learning to read. This project is technically and financially supported by save the children and ANFEAE would like to invite qualified candidates to apply for the following open positions.

Job Title:-READ CO Woreda Outreach Officers /supervisors

Reports to:-Respective zonal READ CO experts

Duty base:-Target Woredas of the project in the zones

Required No:-Thirteen (13) i.e. 3 for Bale, 2 for North Showa, 4 for West Wolega and 4 for lllubabora Zones

Salary:-As per the organization scale

Qualification:-BA in Education and 2 years of experience

Closing date:-March 30/2016

Language:-Fluency of local language (Affan Oromo) and English is mandatory

Job Summary

Coordinate the overall activities of the READE CO program in the Woredas and targe schools and create strong relationship among stake holders (Woreda Education Office, Parent Teachers and Students Association /PTSA/ Kebele Education and Training Boards/KETB/ principals, Teachers). The officers will organize workshops or training for teachers, PTSAs, Clubs and other stake holders. The Position holders will closely work with language teachers and offer technical supports as is deemed necessary in terms of reading and writing. The officers will follow up changes of the students in terms of reading, writing and follow the utilization of supplementary and other reading materials at school level, conduct supervision activities at and document best practices and challenges.
