Paramedics deal with a wide range of patients who may be suffering from a variety of complaints. The response of a paramedic may vary, but typical work activities include:

Assessing the condition of patients decide and initiate treatment to patient
Applying splints to limbs, dressing wounds, administering pain relief, oxygen, drips and fluids
Using various kinds of equipment, in order to resuscitate and stabilize patients;
Carrying out certain surgical procedures when necessary, and assessing whether and how to move patients
Liaising with members of other emergency services, treating patients in the vehicle or ambulance while they are being transferred to hospital or higher medical centres
Assisting with patient care, cleaning, decontaminating and checking vehicles and equipment
Writing up case notes and reporting the patient’s history, condition and treatement to relevant hospital staff
Responsible, legally, ethically and morally for each drug administered, for using correct precautions and techniques
The paramedic must be able to apply basic principles of medication dosages and converting units and be able to use proper advanced life support equipment and supplies

Qualification

Education/Training – BSc degree in relevant field
Experience: Minimum 5 years of work experience as paramedic or related discipline
Computer & Language skill – proficient with MS-office and very good command of English both written and spoken
Special skill:
Must be at least 25 years of age
Ability to communicate verbally; via telephone and radio equipment; able to lift, carry, and balance up to 60 kilograms;
Ability to interpret and respond to written, oral and diagnostic form instructions
Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in a high stress situation and take on the role on the role of leader
Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, & moist environmental conditions.
Other requirements Always act with honesty, respect and integrity, and willing to work on project site as required
Place of work: For Logistic Manager, Addis Ababa office and for Paramedic on mostly on project site
Salary and benefit packages: Negotiable and attractive
