The water resource development fund (WRDF) of the moWIE, within the programme”support to wash sector in urban areas”, is looking for the following position to be recruited for providing technical assistance to the permanent staffs at the Addis ababa office. The overall programme aims at improving the revolving fund mechanism between the WRDF and the selected town water utilities.

Job summary

Prepare, update and revise procurement plans review procurement documents, assist and implement all procumbent activities in line with relevant procurement process, procedures, guideline, manual, coordination the procurement activities of the basket fund program, prepare procurement reports, prepare capacity building in procurement areas and other related activities.

Qualification and experience

BSC/MSC degree in engineering or BA/MA in management or economics or related field. Minimum 10/8 years of relevant experience in:
All aspects of procurement categories of water supply and sanitation development projects to be known.
working experience the procurement policies, procedures, guidelines of the world bank is mandatory. Ethiopian government and other related development partners procurement procedure is advantageous.

Competencies:

able to work with multiple people of different backgrounds.
strong interpersonal and communication skill in substantive and technical area. Fluency in both spoken and written English. Training taken relation to procurement from both international and local institutions. Openness to change and ability to manage complexities . good writing, editing and analytical skills and capability of working independently. Ability to work effectively, take initiative and deliver results, even under pressure, and willingness to visit in remote areas. Basic computer skills in utilization of Microsoft word, micro excel etc and handling web-based data and information management system.

Monthly salary: 18,00 ETB with 700 ETB transport allowance
Duration : two years contract with possible extension and 6 months of probation period
