Regional livelihood

The Regional Rural Livelihood officer will coordinate the community based livelihood initiative concerning capacity building, planning and implementation related activities through grouping of target beneficiaries, identification and   development of livelihood opportunities to enhance drought resilience and sustainable livelihood among drought affected pastoral communities.     

BA/MA degree in agriculture economics, rural development, economics cooperative management, Agriculture extension, or other related subject is essential; Master’s degree in a relevant subject would be an advantage.

Minimum of 6 years for BSC and 4 years for MSC of relevant experience related to rural livelihood development program such as cooperative, agriculture extension, planning and management, monitoring and evaluation of projects, preferably funded by international development agencies.

-  Experience in the areas of rural livelihood diversification is desirable;

-   Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people at different levels;

-  Ability to work in team and independently;

-Ability proactively indentify and respond to problems arising

-  Experience of working to tight deadlines and ability o remain clam under pressure;

-   Good command in English and Must have good communication skill’s

-  Excellent written communication skills with clear and concise reporting style;

Regional programme Rural infrastructure officer

Infrastructure officer responsible for supervision of construction activities, including the overall layout scheduling propose by consultant; He/she has the overall responsibility of technical backstopping and monitoring of implementation of the different infrastructure related activities of the programme by the different

Regional Range Land management specialist

Under the supervision of the Regional program coordinator , the Range land specialist plan, assist both zone and district project unit in securing appropriate range land management technologies, and inputs; facilitate training, monitors and evaluates the program’s progress by establishing an effective and efficient program input, output and outcome reporting system, visiting sites at zone and woredas level, consult community on by laws development, developing data gathering processing and reporting

BSC/MSC in Range land management with back ground of animal science

6 years of experience for BSC/4 years for MSC

-Ability to work in team and independently

-Excellent written communication skills with clear and concise reporting style;

-Experience of managing multiple and complex projects and ability to priorities

Regional programme Livestock officer

Under the supervision of the regional program coordinator , the Livestock officer plan, assist pastoralist and agropastoralist in securing appropriate services facilitate training on improved livestock technologies and marketing practices, rehabilitating/construction and equipping of permanent clinics, upgrading and establishing standard livestock market centers, establishing comprehensive animal health delivery system ; identifies facility for input supply, training and extension support; monitors and evaluates the program’s progress by establishing an effective and efficient program input, output and outcome reporting system , visiting sites at zone and woredas level, developing data gathering, processing and reporting

BSC/DVM/MSC/MVSC in Animal science or Animal Health

Minimum 8 years of experience for BSC/DVM or 4 years for MSC/MVSC.

-Ability to work in team and independently

-Excellent written communication skills with clear and concise reporting style;

-Experience of managing multiple and complex projects and ability to priorities

Zonal mobile support Rural infrastructure officer  

The zonal Mobile support Rural infrastructure officer would be responsible for supervision of construction  activities including the overall layout scheduling proposed by consultant;

He/she has the overall responsibility of technical backstopping and monitoring of implementation of the different infrastructure related activities of the programme by the different stakeholders of drought resilience programme at the woreda/sites at kebele level and reporting to the zonal coordinator/Team leader and regional Rural infrastructure specialist. Zonal mobile support Rural infrastructure officer assists in monitoring the progress of construction by visiting sites at Woreda level.

MSC/BSC in Agriculture/water resource/Rural engineering or related fields.

Minimum of 2 years experience for MSC and 6 for BSC

-Good ability in using computer applications software

- Ability to work in team and independently

-Good communication & interpersonal skills

-Good report writing ability bot in English & oromiffa

 

 

Duty station: 1. For positions Regional Livelihood officer, Regional Rural infrastructure officer, Regional Range Land Management Specialist and Regional Livestock officer , project Head office, Finfine.

2. For MST Rural infrastructure officer Guji Zone (Nagele) & Borena zone (Yabello)

Terms of contact: one years contract subjected to renewal based on performance
