Ethiopia Interfaith Forum for Development Dialogue and Action (EIFDDA) is a Non –Goverrnmental Organization established with the aim of providing a mechanism for faith based Organization (FBOs) to be effectively engaged in the generation of religion inspired conception and spiritual prosperity of the vast majority of Ethiopian living in abject social and economic deprivation.

EIFDDA needs to recruit a strong, capable and experienced staff for thefollowing positions listed below:

  1. Position Internal Auditor

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Examines records of financial transactions, human resource placements and utilixations of resources of EIFDDA members and partner organizations
  • Compatres the results of observations and findings against accepted principles strategic& operational plan documents and budgets pertnet national laws and decrees.
  • Provides professional opinions as to what should be done regarding the observed deviation or positive trends.
  • Provides  assistance for all work units of the forum in recommending improved and more effective methods and control system.
  • Plans, organizes , directs, coordinated, oversees and supervises the overall activities of the unit
  • Ensures that the agency’s strategies, policies and guidelines are properly implemented by EIFDDA and concerned member FBOs:
  • Reviews periodic reports and closure of books of accounts:
  • Inspects and auditing accounting and related administrative manuals and droposes improvements
  • Ensures that all financial documents and related administrative instruments of the forum are properly checked on time
  • Ensures that all properties purchased/ owned by the forum are insured on time
  • Ensures that funds are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Provides feedback and brings to the attention of management to problem areas and gets corrective measures taken.
  • Performs any other related duties assigned by the executive Director

Qualification

  • Degree in Accountin/ relevant fields with 6 years of related work experience particularly in auditing.
  • Postgraduate degree in Accounting/ relevant field with  4 years of related work experience , particularly in auditing.
  • NGO/FBO experience is advantageous
  1. Position: Finance Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares budgets and consolidate accounts for the secretariat accoding to the project plan in collaboration with other departmens of the forum;
  • Adhere to the finance policy in implementing and maintaining accounting systems, procedures and methods for recording , valuing, depreciating and controlling the Forum’s fixed assets & store;
  • Handles the day to day recording, coding , and analyzing of financial transactions of the EIFDDA:
  • Develops the accounting system for cash and inventories and properly account grants received;
  • Prepares monthly account reports, monthly bank reconciliation, and reviesws the monthly budget and report for timely comment and adjustiments:
  • Verify vouchers , banking transactions, correspondences and other financial documents:
  • Prepares accurate, complete and timely financial statements and donor reports and advising management on its implication together with possible courses of actions:
  • Manages donors’ funds as per terms and conditions of grant:
  • Ensures compliance to donors requirement pertaining to budget utilization;cash management, recording and reporting, and maintenance ofproper documentation;
  • Assist in improving the finance system and working standards of the forum.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the Administration & Finance Department Head,

Qualification

  • Degree in Accounting with 6 years of related work experience
  • NGO/FBO experience is advantageous

Additional Qualification for two positions

  • Basic computer skill
  • Peachtree and Quick Book software knowledge
  • Good communication & Interpersonal skill
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues of diverse cultural & professional background
  • Proficiency inverval and writted English & Amharic Languages

Salary:               As per the organization scale

Employment period:     One year with possible extension
