The John snow, Inc (JSI) implemented USAID-supported strengthening EthiopianUrban Health program (SEUHP) is seeking to hire highly qualified Emergency WASH Coordinator (one position) and Emergency WASH cluster Coordinator(two positions)

Emergency WASH Cluster Coordinator

In collaboration with the regional SEUHP teams in SNNPR and Oromia, the Emergency /Drought WASH Cluster Coordintor will be responsible for the coordination and management of the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of the drought related emergency WASH activities in five towns/cities in SNNPR and Oromia Regional States. S/he will help to forge strong partnerships with SEUHP implementing partners, emergency response taskforces (ERT), WASH platforms and other relevant at the regional partners at the regional and town/city level.

Qualification and Experience:

Minimum of first degree in enviromental health or public health with enviromental health background : At least 4 years of work experiance,out of which 2 years of experiance in designing, implementing and monitoring water supply, sanitation and hygiene projects : Experiance with WASH facility related construction : Experiance in emergency situation is preferred: Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationship with goverment counterparts, local organizations and other programs and partners: Familiarity with designed and construction processes/steps for WASH facilities: Strong coordination, facilitation and communication skills: Excellent technical skills in hygiene promotion and community mobilization in relation to water and sanitation activities: Knowledge and understanding of current disaster management issues in ethiopia and understanding of roles of diffrent stekeholders: Strong orals and written communication skills and fluency in both Amharic and E nglish. Knowledge of local languages is a plus:

Duty Station: Hawassa SNNPR, Ethiopia,

Reporting to: SNNPRRegional Manager

Duration of the Contract: Eight months from March 2016 to October 2016.
