At an exciting time of growth and opportunity for the organization, we are looking for a new Director in Addis Ababa who share our organizational culture of delivering high-impact and cost-effective programs that will have a lasting effect for generations.

COUNTRY DIRECTOR

The country Director will lead the management of relations with the government of Ethiopia and with other key local stakeholders, the work of the country team in developing, mobilizing resources for, managing, monitoring and reporting on MI-supported programs in Ethiopia, and to manage MI’s country operations including ongoing compliance with legal and financial regulations in the country. He/she ensures that the programs of MI Ethiopia are aligned effectively with both the priorities of the Ethiopia government and MI’s priorities.

Job requirements:

  • Masters degree in Management, international development, public health, Nutrition or other related field.
  • 10 years of experience in management of programs in public health, including managing finances and human resources
  • 5 years of experience in networking at a high level with international partners and country government, desirable
  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in Ethiopia and sub-saharan Africa region
  • Previous experience highly desirable as a country manager or equivalent role in scope and responsibility for an international organization.
