The consortium of Reproductive Health Assocations (CORHA) is an umbrella organization that exists mainly to create an enabling and conducive environment for its member organizations so as to conribut to improvement of the overall reproductive Health conditions of all people in Ethiopia. CORHA has started implementing a three year project entitled “Enhancing the capacity of NGOs for Quality FP/MCH services” with funding from the united states Agency for International Development (USAID). The overall objective of the project is to improve the capacity of CORHA secretariat and its member organizations to enable them provide quality family planning /maternal and child health (FP/MCH) information and services.

Currently, CORHA would like to invite interested, competent and eligible consultants to apply for the consultancy service to provide three basic trainings on RH Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) material development, Gender, Culture and disability mainstreaming, and policy Dialogue skills that take 5 days each for selected staff members of CORHA member organizations that are directly benefiting from the project with the aim of developing their capacity. Expected Results (Deliverables)

The consultant is expected to deliver the following major activities /results:

  • Provide explanations on the course topics with specific examples
  • Prepare and distribute training materials (Course notes)
  • Prepare power point presentations
  • Facilitates group works/discussions
  • Supervise and guide the trainees during their group works
  • Work in close collaboration with CORHA staff
  • Prepare and submit the training report to CORHA within 3 days after the completion of the training

Required qualification, skill and experience

  • A minimum of MA or MSc Degree or equivalent in Health communication, Management, Gender, Sociology, Social work or other closely relevant discipline
  • Familiarity and practical experience in similar trainings and developing training manual
  • Experienced in working with capacity development interventions with NGOs
  • Demonstrated analytical, communication, facilitation and report writing skills
